Star Wars: The Original Trilogy Back on the Big Screen in Huntington

The Cinema Arts Centre will screen George Lucas’s original Star Wars trilogy for one-week in August

Rarely seen in cinemas, the original Star Wars trilogy is returning to the big screen at Huntington’s Cinema Arts Centre for a limited week-long engagement.

Considered to be amongst the most influential science fiction films ever made, the Cinema Arts Centre will show the first three Star Wars films, A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi for one week beginning August 26th. All three films will screen each day, with successive screenings taking place on Friday and Saturday, for the fans who want to binge watch the entire trilogy.

Created by George Lucas, the first film was released in 1977 and immediately became a global pop-culture phenomenon. The epic space-opera follows Luke Skywalker and his friends as they attempt to free the galaxy from the clutches of the Galactic Empire.

Luke Skywalker begins a journey that will change the galaxy in Star Wars Episode IV – A New Hope. Nineteen years after the formation of the Empire, Luke is thrust into the struggle of the Rebel Alliance when he meets Obi-Wan Kenobi, who has lived for years in seclusion on the desert planet of Tatooine. Obi-Wan begins Luke’s Jedi training as Luke joins him on a daring mission to rescue the beautiful Rebel leader Princess Leia from the clutches of Darth Vader and the evil Empire. The Empire Strikes Back

Return of the Jedi
