Dead Body Found Floating in the Broad Channel
The Homicide Squad reports the details of an investigation that occurred on
Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 5:40 PM in Lawrence.
According to Detectives, a 911 call was received of a person being spotted
floating in the Broad Channel. Nassau County Police, Nassau County Marine Bureau,
Nassau County Aviation, Hempstead Bay Constable and Long Beach Fire
Department all responded. A body was recovered at scene. The investigation is
ongoing.
