The New York State Department of Transportation is advising motorists that the Exit 29A ramp from the westbound Northern State Parkway to the westbound Long Island Expressway (Interstate 495) in the Village of East Hills, Nassau County, will be closed on Tuesday, August 15, from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., weather permitting, to facilitate bridge maintenance.
Motorists will be directed to Exit 28 for Willis Avenue northbound for access to the Long Island Expressway.

Motorists are urged to plan accordingly and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
