Nassau County Legislator Delia DeRiggi-Whitton (D - Glen Cove) was on hand recently as the Long Island North Division of the Kiwanis Club honored outgoing Kiwanis NYS Governor Brenda Leigh Johnson.
 
The Governor’s Dinner recognized Ms. Johnson, of Huntington, for her leadership of the philanthropic organization during unprecedented times that included the COVID-19 pandemic. Legislator DeRiggi-Whitton was among an array of federal, state and local elected officials who joined Kiwanians in wishing her all the best in her future endeavors.
 
“Throughout her many years of involvement, Brenda Leigh Johnson has made a significant contribution to the well-being of our region as member and officer of Kiwanis International,” Legislator DeRiggi-Whitton said. “It was a pleasure to congratulate Brenda, who is symbolic of the many thousands of Kiwanians who make a difference in people’s daily lives.”
