Wyandanch, NY - August 25, 2013 – We are hosting an event prior to the start of the school year called the “Back to School Jump-Off.” This annual event is aimed at launching students (pre-K through High School) into an exciting and successful school year.

The theme of this year’s event is “Dare to Dream!” We want to encourage our young people to positively impact their future by focusing on dreams and goals, and also by growing into strong leaders and expose them to career possibilities for when they graduate from school and go unto to college and beyond. The FREE event will be action packed with activities, food and games. Some of the activities planned include a Fashion Show, Carnival Games and a Concert.

“Yes, we can fight the High School dropout rate by helping to launch the education of a child, says Pastor Gayle Brown.  We can bring dreams to life by supporting the children in our community.”

This year, we will be hosting a Vendor Market that is open to all food vendors and other product vendors.  We are inviting all business to join us.   Some local businesses have been significantly impacted by Hurricane Sandy and need a creative way to generate cash flow. By participating in this vendor market, you will have access to sell and market your product to students and their parents. Our event is advertised on local radio stations, television, and across the internet, and we will be happy to also distribute your flyers, coupons, and materials to those in attendance. It is not too late to buy a table for $25.00.
