LIGHT ACCUMULATING SNOW TUESDAY MORNING A fast moving system will bring a band of light snow to the area Tuesday morning. A coating to less than 1 inch of snow accumulation is forecast. Roads will become snow covered due to the recent cold weather resulting in slippery travel conditions. Anyone planning to travel Tuesday morning should use extra caution. The accumulating snow will quickly come to an end late morning through midday with temperatures rising into the middle and upper 30s in the afternoon.

Long Island Muralist Adorns Port Jeff With Aquatic Themed Paintings

As reported recently by village trustee Kathianne Snaden, the Port Jefferson Business Improvement District (BID) and the Greater Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce hired Long Island muralist Linda Alfin for a project in the village. Snowden posted photos of the first paintings on Facebook.

 

The murals are being painted on unity boxes. So far there are two completed. One is located behind Chase Bank in the Mill Creek parking lot and the other between Roger’s Frigate and Ecolin Jewelry off East Broadway.
