In May, Standard Rec opened its doors at 49 East Main Street in Patchogue, the location of the former Public House 49. According to reports, the owners of Public House 49 transformed their establishment to evolve after over a decade in business in that spot.
Standard Rec now offers video games and fun arcade games like skee ball and hoops in addition to food a drinks.
On Yelp, Zain S, from Mastic, said he was glad to see Standard Rec open.
“After a long day at work this is the place to come and enjoy a drink or two and have a great time with friends,” said. When I tell you it was jammed packed in there, boy you couldn't even hear yourself think but I loved it!”
Donna M, from Shirley, wasn’t thrilled with the menu but she did dig the atmosphere.
“The vibe and decor are very cool…” she wrote.
