AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING An Air Quality Health Advisory remains in effect for the following counties: Nassau and Suffolk. Until 11 PM EDT this evening. Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an Air Quality Index value of 100 for the pollutant of ground level ozone. The New York State Department of Health recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects. People who may be especially sensitive to the effects of elevated levels of pollutants include the very young, and those with preexisting respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease. Those with symptoms should consider consulting their personal physician. A toll free air quality hotline has been established so New York residents can stay informed on the air quality situation. Long Island gears up for Biggest, Health, Wellness and Back- to-School. The fair be held in conjunction with African-American Media Network, Long Shoprite Supermarket Island African-American Chamber of Commerce, and Hempstead/Uniondale Times.

Hempstead, NY - July 30, 2015 - Long Island gears up for Biggest, Health, Wellness and Back- to-School. The fair be held in conjunction with African-American Media Network, Long Shoprite Supermarket Island African-American Chamber of Commerce, and Hempstead/Uniondale Times will hold its first annual health and education fair on Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 10am to 5:00pm at 1121 Jerusalem Avenue (Shoprite Supermarket parking lot) in Uniondale, NY.

Dubbed “Health, Wellness & Back-To-School Fair,” the event will include free health screenings (blood pressure, diabetes monitoring), nutrition, dental, vision check, food sampling, showcase of local talents, book signing by authors, college/university admissions recruitment, US Army recruitment, raffles/prices, employment recruitment, and much more.

Organizers of the fair are calling on all businesses to get on board as a sponsor or vendor .  Volunteers and donation school supplies are needed. The event promises to draw hundreds of families, a tremendous opportunity for reaching consumers, thereby driving sales, and then profits.
