Homicide Squad Detectives report the details of a serious auto accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at 10:32 PM in Hempstead.
According to Detectives, a male Hispanic, who is yet to be identified, was crossing South Franklin Street on foot, when he was struck by a dark colored SUV.
The SUV was traveling southbound on South Franklin Street at Peninsula Boulevard, and was being operated by an unknown individual that left the scene.
The pedestrian sustained multiple injuries and was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
