Recently, Nassau County Comptroller Elaine Phillips and Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman celebrated August birthdays with a senior citizen celebration at Old Bethpage Village Restoration. Comptroller Phillips and County Executive Blakeman joined Ruth Kollar, resident of Wantagh, NY and her family to celebrate her 100th birthday.
 
The free monthly event celebrates the County’s senior community, while also connecting senior residents with important services, resources and programs offered by Nassau County departments, such as the Department of Human Services Office for the Aging as well as health and wellness tips from Mount Sinai South Nassau.
