PSEG Long Island, Island Harvest and Stop & Shop joined together to collect food, personal care items and monetary donations as part of PSEG Long Island’s Power to Feed Long Island collection initiative in Oceanside on Friday, Aug. 16.

PSEG Long Island and Island Harvest Food Bank thank the people of Oceanside and the surrounding communities for donating the equivalent of nearly 2,400 meals at PSEG Long Island’s Power to Feed Long Island food collection on Friday, Aug. 16. The event, held at the Stop & Shop located at 3577 Long Beach Road in Oceanside, brought out dozens of community members who opened their wallets, trunks and hearts to provide cash, food, personal care items and pet supplies to their neighbors in need.

The final Power to Feed Long Island event for this season will be held on Friday, Sept. 13, from 9 AM to 4 PM at the Stop & Shop located at 365 Route 109, West Babylon.
