PSEG Long Island and Island Harvest Thank Oceanside Community for Generous Donations to ‘Power to Feed Long Island’ Collection Drive

Written by Chris Boyle  |  23. August 2024

PSEG Long Island and Island Harvest Food Bank thank the people of Oceanside and the surrounding communities for donating the equivalent of nearly 2,400 meals at PSEG Long Island’s Power to Feed Long Island food collection on Friday, Aug. 16. The event, held at the Stop & Shop located at 3577 Long Beach Road in Oceanside, brought out dozens of community members who opened their wallets, trunks and hearts to provide cash, food, personal care items and pet supplies to their neighbors in need.

As a thank you for contributing, PSEG Long Island employee volunteers handed out reusable shopping bags and LED lightbulbs –  items that help preserve the environment and conserve energy.

Friday’s event was one of seven collection sites in the summer-long food drive initiative. For additional information on PSEG Long Island’s Power to Feed Long Island, to see upcoming events, learn what to donate, or make an online monetary donation, visit psegliny.com/feedLI.
