Man Injured in Shooting in Bay Shore

Bay Shore, NY - August 24th, 2013 - Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating a shooting in Bay Shore that injured a man early this morning.

Several people were outside a party, located at 112 2nd Ave., when an unknown person fired several shots and struck a 34-year-old man in his left foot at approximately 3 a.m. The victim was transported in a private vehicle to Good Samaritan Hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact theThird Squad at 631-854-8352 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
