August 26 is International Dog Day around the globe and it's there's a day worth celebrating, it's definitely a day dedicated to a man's best friend. This is an occasion to celebrate all dog breeds whether they are family pets, guide and support dogs that care for people with disabilities, or those whose lives are dedicated to keeping us safe working in the police force helping catch criminals, detect drugs and bombs or find victims in perilous situations after natural disasters.

Casinos.com decided to utilize Google Trends data from the last 12 months (August 20, 2022 to August 20, 2023) to find out what each states' favorite dog breed is ahead of the globally celebrated day. To do this, our research and analytics team measured the level of interest in 48 of the most popular breeds of dog. Cross breeds were excluded. Here are the results for the top 3 dogs for the state of New York.
