Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a motorcyclist in Port Jefferson.

 

Jason Russo was operating a 2008 Kawasaki motorcycle westbound on Sheep Pasture Road near Willis Avenue when he lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway, and struck a tree.   

 

Russo, 35, of Patchogue, was transported to John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson where he was pronounced dead.

 

The motorcycle was impounded for a safety check. Anyone with information about this crash is asked to call the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.
