One Lucky Long Islander is now over $17,000 richer after scoring a New York state lottery ticket at a North Merrick convenience store.
The ticket in question was purchased for the Monday, August 26 mid-day drawing at Fast Break, located at 1066 Merrick Avenue, and is worth a cool $17,145, according to NYS Lottery officials.
Winners have up to one year from the drawing date to claim their prize.
