Long Island Pen Show To Be Held This October
In the era of digital it may seem like handwriting is becoming a thing of the past but the lowly pen is being raised to an art form by the organizers of the Long Island Pen Show set to be held this October at Hofstra University. If you are a pen collector then you are not alone and this pen-lovers conference should prove it.
You can count actor Robert Pattinson, novelist Neil Gaiman, and animator Walt Disney among your peers; also well-known pen collectors.
According to the official website there will be over 75 vendors including a fountain pen hospital, Moneola-based pen maker Kenro Industries, Federalist Pens, Mike’s Pens, Girologio, and more.
Admission is $10 per day and $25 for a 3-day pass. Parking is free and there will be a food court. The Long Island Pen Show will take place from October 14-16.
A quote in the website says that the organizers “endeavor to convene like minded people for the perpetuity of the written word and the camaraderie one anothers passion forges from this mission.”
There will also be pencils for sale at the show.
