The 4th annual Mini Maniac Youth Triathlon, Long Island’s largest sanctioned kids triathlon, is set to take place at Cedar Beach in Mount Sinai on September 17th at 7:00 a.m.
The event is hosted by a local non-profit youth triathlon team, Lightning Warriors, whose mission is to make the sport available to all young athletes while unlocking both athletic and leadership potential.
The event welcomes young athletes between the ages of 5-17 and is divided into four separate races with distances dependent on age group.
The event provides a supportive environment where every participant is cheered on and celebrated, regardless of their skill level. By focusing on the journey rather than just the finish line, the event promotes values like perseverance, sportsmanship, and camaraderie.
