NCPD Reports Two Arrests Made in Connection with Fatal Overdose of Woodmere Man

The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of two Queens men for an incident that originally occurred on Friday, August 23, 2019.
 
According to Narcotics/Vice Squad Detectives, an investigation into a fatal overdose of a male victim in a Woodmere residence led to the arrest of Piero Russotto, 46, and Alexandro D’Angelo, 55.
 
Narcotics/Vice Squad detectives arranged to meet D’Angelo at a Queens location and placed the defendant under arrest on August 29, 2019 at 4:00 pm. A subsequent investigation also led to the arrest of defendant Russotto.
 
Defendant Russotto is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree. Defendant D’Angelo is charged with (2) counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree. They were both arraigned on Friday, August 30, 2019 at First District Court, Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
