Security Guard Arrested; 43 Violations Issued During State Liquor Authority Inspections

Police, with assistance from multiple agencies, arrested a security guard and issued 43 violations to businesses during State Liquor Authority inspections.

Suffolk County Police, with assistance from multiple agencies, arrested a security guard and issued 43 violations to businesses during State Liquor Authority inspections in Huntington and Huntington Station last night.

Second Precinct Crime Section officers, Second Precinct Community Support Unit officers, Second Precinct Anti-Crime officers, Second Precinct patrol officers, in conjunction with the New York State Liquor Authority, the Town of Huntington Fire Marshal and the Town of Huntington Code Enforcement, conducted State Liquor Authority inspections at three businesses last night. The New York State Liquor Authority issued 41 violations and the Town of Huntington Fire Marshal issued two violations.

The following establishments were checked:

·         Finley’s of Greene Street, located at 43 Green Street in Huntington. Twenty SLA violations were issued.

·         The Rust and Gold, located at 70 Gerard St., Huntington. Ten SLA violations and two Town Fire Code violations were issued.

·         Instant Replay Sports Bar, located at 282 East Jericho Turnpike, Huntington Station. Eleven SLA violations were issued.

A security guard from Finley’s of Green Street, 22, from East Northport, was arrested and charged with Security Guard- No Valid Registration, a misdemeanor under the New York State General Business Law. He is scheduled for arraignment at a later date.
