NCPD Reports Armed Suspect At Large After Breaking into Hofstra Student Residence

An unknown male black subject entered the victim's room, pointed a gun at him and demanded money and jewelry, cops say.

NCPD are investigating an occupied residential burglary in Hempstead.

Hempstead, NY - Sept. 4, 2018 - Third squad detectives are investigating an occupied residential burglary that occurred on Monday, September 3, 2018 at 11:35 pm in Hempstead.
 
According to detectives, Hempstead police were called to an off campus Hofstra student residential home on Fairview Boulevard and were informed by the resident that an unknown male black subject entered his room, pointed a gun at him and demanded money and jewelry. The subject then grabbed the victim’s MAC laptop and fled out of a side door.
 
The uninjured victim further described the subject as being in his 30’s and was wearing a black hoody, black sweatpants and an American Flag bandana covering part of his face.
