Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives have released the name of the individual whose remains were found in a suitcase in a wooded area in Huntington on September 3.
Second precinct officers responded to a 911 call reporting suspicious activity in the wooded area next to 320 Nassau Road at 11:50 a.m. Upon arriving, police found a person deceased in a suitcase next to the building.
Seikeya Jones, 31, who is undomiciled, has been identified as the victim. The cause of death is still being determined by the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office.
