NCPD: Uniondale Marriott Attendant Arrested for Stealing over $40,000 in Jewelry from Guest's Room

Uniondale, NY - September 7, 2017 - Third Squad detectives report the arrest of a Queens Village man for an incident that occurred on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 8:00 pm in Uniondale.
 
According to detectives, Kevin Arocho, 24, while employed as a room service attendant for the Marriott Hotel, 101 James Doolittle Boulevard, entered a guest’s room without permission and removed jewelry valued at $43,000 as well as prescription medication.
 
A subsequent investigation by detectives led to the arrest of Arocho on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, as well as the recovery of the 75 year old victim’s jewelry.
 
Arocho is charged with Grand Larceny 3rd Degree and Petit Larceny. He will be arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead on 9/7/2017.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
