Freeport, NY - Sept. 7, 2018 - The Homicide Squad is investigating a shooting that occurred at 11:43 P.M on September 6, 2018 in Freeport.
 
According to detectives, Freeport police officers responded to Willow Avenue in the vicinity of Frederick Ave to investigate a male shot. Upon their arrival, there was a male lying in the street. The 24 year old male was transported to an area hospital by Police Ambulance with several gunshot wounds. He is listed in critical condition.
 
The investigation is ongoing.
