You can pick ‘em, bake ‘em, or bob for ‘em. We found some great festivals celebrating apples on Long Island this fall.

 

Stony Brook Apple Festival 2022 - Come and enjoy vendors, fall favorites, food, and family fun at the Stony Brook Community Church's annual Apple Festival. When: Saturday, October 1, 2022, 11am-5pm. Where: 216 Christian Avenue, Stony Brook.

 

Mill Neck Manor’s Apple Festival - The festival will be back in person this year, following a two year drive-thru format due to the pandemic. The excitement is building, as the 2022 festival promises to be bigger and better than ever. Located on Mill Neck Manor’s 86-acre campus, the Apple Festival draws tens of thousands of visitors. The 2022 Apple Festival will bring the best of the fall season to Long Island; boasting a plethora of apple varieties, Karl Ehmer specialty meats, grilled bratwurst, a wide variety of cheeses, and plenty of mouth-watering baked goods, jellies, fudge, strudel, and more. The festival also showcases the latest in Deaf technology, healthcare checkups, children’s face painting, a pumpkin patch, handmade country crafts, and American Sign Language books and novelty items.Other exciting additions that visitors can expect from this year’s festival, include tours of the historic Mill Neck Manor House, craft beer and spirits for purchase, complimentary Charcuterie tutorials in the “Cheese House,” and rides and games for the kids. A schedule of live entertainment is also in store, featuring a lineup of musicians, children’s entertainment, ASL classes, and many more activities throughout the weekend. When: Saturday, October 8 and Sunday, October 9, 2022, 10am-4pm. Where: 40 Frost Mill Road, Mill Neck.

 

Huntington Historical Society Apple Festival - Enjoy traditional games, seasonal crafts, live music, fall foods, and historical demonstrations by costumed interpreters. Visitors can dive into history by going on a tour of the 18th century Kissam House, or watch traditional folk artists like woodworkers and musicians demonstrate their craft. Children can try their hand at making their own like full-sized scarecrows or painting a pumpkin. There will also be numerous games, races, bubbles, and face painting, as well as our very popular hayride around the property. Delicious Long Island-grown apples will be sold by the bag along with other fall food favorites, such as candy apples, apple cider, and an assortment of baked goods from local bakeries. When: Sunday, October 16, 2022, 12-4pm. Where: Kissam Property, 434 Park Avenue, Huntington.

 

Town of Islip The Apple Fest - The core of this festival is its family-friendly fun and harvest festival flavor. Islip Town promises there will be craft vendors, amusement rides, a petting zoo, pumpkin picking, pony rides, live entertainment, fresh apple desserts and more. When: Saturday, October 22, 2022. Rain date is October 29. Where: Islip Grange, 10 Broadway Avenue, Sayville.
