Governor Hochul today announced that flags on state government buildings will be flown at half-staff on Sunday, September 11 in remembrance of those who lost their lives on this day 21 years ago. The Governor also announced that 15 state landmarks and bridges will be illuminated blue in recognition of the 21st anniversary.
"Twenty-one years ago, nearly 3,000 people lost their lives in the horrific and unprecedented acts of terror against our state and our nation on September 11, 2001," Governor Hochul said. "As we mark the twenty-first anniversary of the terror attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and in Pennsylvania, we remember the victims and the brave first responders who lost their lives in the most unfathomable way, and we honor the survivors and victims' families who were tragically impacted by the attack."

- Albany International Airport Gateway
- The Lake Placid Olympic Jumping Complex
- The Lake Placid Olympic Center
- MTA Long Island Rail Road - East End Gateway at Penn Station
- Fairport Lift Bridge over the Erie Canal
