AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for the following areas: All five boroughs of New York City, and Westchester, Rockland, Nassau, and Suffolk counties. Until 11 PM EDT this evening. Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an Air Quality Index value of 100 for the pollutant of Ground Level Ozone. The New York State Department of Health recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects. People who may be especially sensitive to the effects of elevated levels of pollutants include the very young, and those with preexisting respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease. Those with symptoms should consider consulting their personal physician. A toll free air quality hotline has been established so New York residents can stay informed on the air quality situation. Man Arrested in Valley Stream for Forged Drug Prescriptions

Manhattan man allegedly presented two forged drug prescriptions to a Valley Stream pharmacist.

Valley Stream, NY - Sepetember 10, 2014 - The Narcotics/Vice Squad reports the arrest of a Manhattan man for Possession of a Forged Instrument that occurred on Wednesday September 10, 2014 at 6:20 p.m. in Valley Stream.
 
According to detectives, Michael Haywood 32, of W. 150th Street presented two forged prescriptions to a pharmacist at Dale Drugs located at 531 Merrick Road to be filled. When the defendant returned to pick up the prescriptions a Narcotics detective along with Bureau of Special Operation Officers placed him under arrest. Haywood was found to be in possession of a fraudulent New York State Identification card at the time of his arrest.
 
Haywood is charged with three counts of Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd degree. He will be arraigned on Thursday September 11, 2014 at First District Court in Hempstead.
