Man Arrested in Valley Stream for Forged Drug Prescriptions
Valley Stream, NY - Sepetember 10, 2014 - The Narcotics/Vice Squad reports the arrest of a Manhattan man for Possession of a Forged Instrument that occurred on Wednesday September 10, 2014 at 6:20 p.m. in Valley Stream.
According to detectives, Michael Haywood 32, of W. 150th Street presented two forged prescriptions to a pharmacist at Dale Drugs located at 531 Merrick Road to be filled. When the defendant returned to pick up the prescriptions a Narcotics detective along with Bureau of Special Operation Officers placed him under arrest. Haywood was found to be in possession of a fraudulent New York State Identification card at the time of his arrest.
Haywood is charged with three counts of Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd degree. He will be arraigned on Thursday September 11, 2014 at First District Court in Hempstead.
