Suffolk Police Seeking Suspect in Lindenhurst Fatal Hit and Run Incident

Lindenhurst, NY - September 12, 2017 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the driver of a vehicle who struck and killed a pedestrian in Lindenhurst last month.  
 
Pauline Aluska, 54, of Lindenhurst, was on Montauk Highway, near South 13th Street, on August 14 at approximately 12:20 a.m. when she was fatally struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. Detectives have determined the vehicle involved is a 2000 to 2004 white or light-colored Nissan Xterra. The above photo is of a similar model vehicle. 
 
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
