Based on the results of the Best States for Young Professionals study -  which assesses influencing factors in young professionals' well-being across six key categories, ranging from Job Market and Work Conditions, Affordability, and Leisure - New York ranked #16 overall for having the second-highest average annual salary estimate, one of the highest basic minimum wage per hour, and for having the second-lowest gender wage gaps in the country.
