The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Fatal Vehicular Accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 3:15 pm in Great Neck Plaza.
According to detectives, a female pedestrian, Joyanna Marx, 95 of Great Neck, was struck by a 2004 Dodge Ram pick-up truck traveling westbound on Grace Avenue at the intersection of Park Place. The 37-year-old male operator of the vehicle remained at the scene.
Marx suffered severe trauma and was transported to a local area hospital where she was pronounced by a hospital physician.
No further injuries were reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
