North Long Beach Man Threatened Victim with Illegal Firearm During Verbal Dispute, Cops Say

The Fourth Squad Detectives report the arrest of a North Long Beach man for Criminal Possession of a Weapon that occurred on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 7:28 pm in North Long Beach.
 
According to detectives, a male victim, 51, was standing in the vicinity of Saratoga Boulevard and Broadway when he was approached by Defendant Paul Silvio, 41, of North Long Beach. A verbal dispute took place between the victim and defendant. The argument escalated and Defendant Silvio pointed a handgun threating the victim, making him in fear for his life.  
 
A short time later, responding officers located Defendant Silvio and placed him under arrest without further incident. No injuries were reported. 
 
Defendant Paul Silvio is charged with Menacing 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Firearm. He will be arraigned on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at First District Court, Hempstead.
