Three Cedarhurst Men Arrested for Robbing After Beating Him Victim with Fists, Baseball Bat

The Fourth Squad reports the arrest of three Cedarhurst men for a Robbery that occurred on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 2:30 pm in Cedarhurst.
 
According to detectives, a male victim, 31, was attempting to sell his bracelet to Five Towns Jewelry Buyers located at 589 Willow Avenue. He called the number listed for the store but was instructed to come to 542 Redwood Drive because the store is under renovations. When the victim arrived at the residence, he was approached by three (3) unknown males. The male subjects forcibly grabbed the victim dragging him into the house, while striking him with a closed fist and baseball bat. The suspects also threatened him with a sledgehammer placing him in fear for his life. The male subjects then removed an iPhone, bracelet and driver license from the victim prior to fleeing the scene. A short time later, officers located the defendants and arrested them without incident.  
 
Subsequent to the investigation, detectives arrested Daniel Avital, 36, Jacob Avital, 40, and Dov Avital, 31, of 542 Redwood Drive for the above incident. 
 
All three Defendants are charged with Robbery 1st Degree, Assault 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree and Unlawful Imprisonment 2nd Degree. They will be arraigned on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Nassau County First District Court in Hempstead.
