Teen Girl Found Dead on Eve of Sweet 16 in Brentwood, Investigation Continues

Brentwood, NY - September 14, 2016 - Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of a female teenager in Brentwood last night.

Third Precinct police officers were called to Stahley Street after a passing motorist called 911 at 8:36 p.m. to report a body in the road. When officers arrived, they found Nisa Mickens in the road with lacerations and head trauma.

Mickens, 15, of Brentwood, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner. The Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner is currently finalizing an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
