The Neuroendocrine Cancer Awareness Network (NCAN) has shared details for their upcoming Long Island Patient Conference, as well as their annual "Celebration Of Life” Gala, taking place this fall.
On October 15th, NCAN will bring together specialists from around the country for the Long Island Patient Conference. Guest speakers will include:
- Dr. Hal Gerstein of the Cancer Institute of Long Island, who has treated for over 20 years
- Dr. Aaron Sasson of Stony Brook University, a surgeon who specializes in NET surgery
- Dr. Diane Reidy-Lagunes of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, member of the NCI neuroendocrine tumor task force
- Dr. Jerome Zacks, a cardiologist and specialist in NET Carcinoid Heart
- Dr. Eric Liu of the Rocky Mountain Cancer Center, Chief Medical Director / Surgery, Neuroendocrine Institute
Attendees will have the chance to hear discussions on the latest NET cancer research, as well as advice from experts on the top issues faced by patients. Topics covered will be useful to an audience of all levels, including patients, family members, and caretakers – all for the sake of helping people become better advocates for their health.
The following month, NCAN returns to Long Island for their annual “Celebration Of Life” Gala. The event will take place on November 19th, and promises to be a fun evening of food, drinks, dancing, raffles, and just being together to celebrate life.
