Uniondale, NY - September 15, 2014 - Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano announced today that in preparation for the Private Sector Mega Job Fair which will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, the County is providing free job preparation classes for residents. Classes include assistance with resume writing, techniques for an effective interview and how to best explore career options.
County Executive Mangano stated, “With more than 350 companies anticipated to register for the Private Sector Mega Job Fair and more than 13,000 job seekers expected to attend, the competition for jobs can be great. I encourage everyone to register for one of the free job preparation workshops as this is a great opportunity to improve your skill set in this competitive market.”
The Job Preparation Workshops are being offered September 17th, September 23rd, and September 30th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Coordinating Agency for Spanish Americans (CASA) located at 40 Main Street, Lower Level in Hempstead.
