Threatening Messages Spray-Painted, Sign Damaged at Melville Hindu Temple; Hate Crimes Unit Investigating
Suffolk County Police Hates Crimes Unit detectives are investigating a criminal mischief incident as a hate crime that occurred at a Melville temple.
Threatening and derogatory anti-Hindu messages were spray-painted on the driveway and a sign, causing damage, at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, located at 2 Deshon Drive, sometime between September 15 at 7 p.m. and September 16 at 6:30 a.m.
