Soprano Emily Donato to Perform at Jamesport Meeting House Saturday, Sept. 28

Acclaimed soprano Emily Donato returns for her fourth performance at the historic Jamesport Meeting House on Saturday, September 28 at 7:30 p.m.

Ms. Donato will perform a program titled “On This Island: Song and Aria,” accompanied by pianist Saffron Chung. The concert performance will feature works ranging from classical composers Mozart and Britten to contemporary musicians Joni Mitchell and Armanda McBroom.

Ms. Donato’s incredible singing earned her first prize in the 2023 Handel Aria Competition. She has performed at the Carmel Bach Festival, at Carnegie Hall with the Oratorio Society of New York, as a soloist with Musica Sacra at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, and claimed first price in the Lyndon -Woodside Oratorio Competition.

Tickets are only $20 each and include a reception following the concert. Tickets may be purchased in advance at www.jamesportmeetinghouse.org or at the door, if available.

The Jamesport Meeting House, erected in 1731,is the oldest public structure on the East End of Long Island. The Meeting House is prized for its superb acoustics as well as its historical significance.
