Written by Long Island News & PR  |  19. September 2019

Suffolk County Police arrested a Middle Island man for stealing money from tip jars, one day after he was arrested for two similar incidents.

Third Precinct police officers responded to a report of money stolen from a tip jar at Bango Bowls, located at 68 East Main St. A short time later, Officers Francis Gigante and Steven Damico located Khari Cuffie at the corner of Third Avenue and Union Boulevard and arrested him.

Following an investigation, it was determined that Cuffie was also responsible for stealing money from a tip jar at the same location on September 5.

Cuffie, 29, of Middle Island, was charged with two counts of Petit Larceny for the Bango Bowls incidents, in addition to the two counts of Petit Larceny he was charged with on September 16. He was also charged with a parole warrant.

Cuffie was held overnight at the Third Precinct and was arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip.

A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
