Pep Boys in Patchogue Adding AutoZone to Building

Written by Lon Cohen  |  20. September 2022

Pep Boys has exited the auto parts business so they are partnering with other auto parts retailers at various locations to sell parts alongside their service business.

During a September 12th Brookhaven Town Planning Board meeting, a representative for the Pep Boys at 425 Sunrise Highway in Patchogue proposed a facade change for the existing building to add two doors and faux windows and signage to the exterior to accommodate an AutoZone suto parts store.

The plan was unanimously approved by the planning board.

In Port Jefferson Station, a similar proposal was submitted for the Pep Boys location there as well, although the name of the retailer was not revealed at the time.

In other parts of the country Pep Boys has partnered with Advance Auto Parts to lease and sell auto parts in those locations. Pep Boys has nearly 1,000 stores in 35 states and Puerto Rico. The company recently announced new service centers opening across the county.
