Three in Police Custody after Crashing Stolen Vehicle; Suspects In Possession of Knife, Crack Cocaine, Cops Say

The Third Squad reports the arrest of three individuals for multiple offenses that occurred on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 4:10 a.m. in North New Hyde Park.
 
According to Detectives, Officers were responding to Terrace Boulevard for reports of a suspicious person. Officers observed a 2012 Black Infiniti G37 operating at a high rate of speed through the residential streets. 
 
Upon further investigation, Officers discovered the Infiniti was reported stolen. 
 
The Infiniti was involved in a collision at the intersection of Maple Drive and Old Farm Road South. Three occupants attempted to flee, but were all apprehended and arrested a short time later: Clifton Woods, 22, of 130 E. Pennywood in Roosevelt, Brianna Rose Charuk, 23, of 11 Manhattan Boulevard in Islip Terrace, and Justin Piechowicz, 20, of 12 Hastings Road in Massapequa. 
 
Subsequent to the investigation, a knife and a white rock like substance believed to crack cocaine was recovered. No injuries were reported.
 
Defendant Woods is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree. He was arraigned on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at First District Court, 99 Main Street in Hempstead. 
 
Defendant Charuk is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, and Grand Larceny 3rd Degree. She was arraigned on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at First District Court, 99 Main Street in Hempstead.
 
Defendant Piechowicz is charged with Leaving the Scene of an Incident: Property Damage, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, and Grand Larceny 3rd Degree. He was arraigned on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at First District Court, 99 Main Street in Hempstead.
