AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for the following areas: All five boroughs of New York City, and Westchester, Rockland, Nassau, and Suffolk counties. Until 11 PM EDT this evening. Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an Air Quality Index value of 100 for the pollutant of Ground Level Ozone. The New York State Department of Health recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects. People who may be especially sensitive to the effects of elevated levels of pollutants include the very young, and those with preexisting respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease. Those with symptoms should consider consulting their personal physician. A toll free air quality hotline has been established so New York residents can stay informed on the air quality situation. A bank was robbed at gunpoint in Williston Park.

Williston Park, NY - September 22, 2014 - The Robbery Squad reports the details of a Robbery that occurred at 12:35pm on Sunday, September 21, 2014 in Williston Park.
 
According to Detectives, an unknown subject entered the TD Bank located at 700 Willis Avenue and verbally announced a robbery while displaying a revolver to employees.  After obtaining an undetermined amount of U.S. currency the subject fled the scene on foot northbound on Willis Avenue.  There were three employees and two customers present in the bank at the time of the robbery.  No injuries were reported.
 
The subject is described as a male black, in his 30’s, 5’10”, wearing sunglasses, a beige fisherman’s type hat, traffic vest, white shirt and gloves.
