Uniondale, NY - September 21, 2015 - Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano and the Nassau County Tech Task Team (T3), co-chaired by Peter Goldsmith of LISTnet and Andrew Hazen of LaunchPad Long Island, today announced the latest Technology Island initiative; Long Island Tech Day! Long Island Tech Day, Long Island’s Biggest Tech Expo, will take place on November 10th from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Mitchel Field Athletic Complex, located at One Charles Lindbergh Boulevard in Uniondale. Long Island Tech Day provides local technology companies and startups the opportunity to show off their talent and pool of tech enthusiasts to consumers, high caliber investors and the media.
County Executive Mangano stated, “I applaud the work of my Tech Task Team and our business partners for launching Long Island Tech Day – the biggest Tech Expo on Long Island! Through Technology Island initiatives we continue to support and strengthen Nassau’s tech industry while helping residents find meaningful employment opportunities.”

County Executive Mangano formed T3 earlier this year to help promote Long Island as one of the top innovation regions to start, move to and build technology companies. Earlier this year, County Executive Mangano and T3 hosted Nassau’s first-ever Technology Island Job Fair in which more than 70 companies offered 250 job opportunities.
