NCPD Announces 7 Men Arrested Following Investigation into Narcotics Sales in Roosevelt

The suspects are all charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, authorities say.

First Squad Detectives report the arrest of seven (7) men for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance that occurred on Wednesday, September 21, 2023 at 12:45 pm in Roosevelt.
 
According to detectives, officers conducted an investigation into narcotics sales and criminal activity at Centennial Park in Roosevelt.  
 
During the investigation the following individuals were arrested:
  • Derek Simpson, 30, of 188 Fredrick Ave., Roosevelt. He was charged with two (2) counts of Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, Criminal Sale of Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and Tampering with Physical Evidence.  He was arraigned 9/21/2023 at First District Court, Hempstead.
  • Jose Ramirez, 48, of 112 Lincoln Ave., Roosevelt.  He was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree.  He was issued an Appearance Ticket returnable to First District Court on 10/02/2023.
  • Marvin Simmons, 64, of 54 Pleasant Ave., Roosevelt.  He was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree.  He was issued an Appearance Ticket returnable to First District Court on 10/02/2023.
  • Daryl Lincoln, 58, of 835 Uniondale Ave., Uniondale.  He was charged with three (3) counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree.  He was arraigned on 9/21/2023 at First District Court, Hempstead.
  • Kenneth Curry, 64, of 53 Lincoln Ave., Roosevelt.  He was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree, Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd Degree and Resisting Arrest.  He was arraigned on 9/21/2023 at first district Court, Hempstead.
  • Robert Pina, 63, of 124 Frederick Ave., Roosevelt.  He was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree.  He was issued an Appearance Ticket returnable to First District Court on 10/02/2023.
  • Lugene Shepard, 68, of 16 Spring St., Roosevelt.  He was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree.  He was issued an Appearance Ticket returnable to First District Court on 10/02/2023.
Additionally, two other men were arrested at scene: 
  • Ronald Wilson, 68, of 90 Pleasant Avenue in Roosevelt, arrested for an open Nassau County Warrant from July 31, 2023. He was arraigned on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at First District Court, 99 Main Street in Hempstead.
  • Julian Parks, 41, of 17 Norton Drive in Roosevelt was arrested for a Larceny that occurred on Wednesday, September 13, 2023. He was released on an Appearance Ticket.
