Suffolk County Executive Bellone Announces First-of-its-Kind Global Business Summit

Summit to Focus on the Challenges and Opportunities Faced by Local Enterprises in the Global Marketplace.

Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone today announced that the County will host a first-of-its-kind Global Business Summit to promote international business, foreign trade and investment, and innovation on Long Island.  

The summit will be held on Wednesday, September 27 from 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM at Amity Education Group in Oakdale.   

“Suffolk County is excited to partner with Amity Education Group to host this summit which will open new doors for our local businesses and exchange ideas on key issues related to global business and economics,” said Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone. “With such a thriving business community, we are hopeful that we will be able to empower them with the knowledge, resources, and connections needed to thrive in the global business landscape.”  

Dr. Aseem Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University said, “The Global Business Summit is an important platform to connect companies in Suffolk County to opportunities with partners from around the world.  I believe this region has the potential to host clusters of innovation, economic growth, and employment generation. The event will convene leading experts from across the region including government stakeholders, community advocates, and business incubator representatives.  

Through a variety of panel discussions, speaking engagements, and networking sessions throughout the day, attendees will learn about the benefits and significance of foreign trade and expansion and will be provided the tools needed to expand successfully and grow globally.   

Breakfast and Registration will begin at 8:00 AM. Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone, Amity Chancellor Dr. Aseem Chauhan, NYS Senator Kevin Thomas, LIA President and CEO Matt Cohen will provide opening remarks. Some of the participating moderators, and speakers panelists also include:
