Recently, Ward Melville Senior High School in Setauket, New York, was recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a National Blue Ribbon School for 2022. The National Blue Ribbon Award recognizes schools for their overall academic excellence or their progress in closing achievement gaps among student groups, demonstrating that all students can achieve to high levels. To date, the National Blue Ribbon Schools Program has bestowed more than 10,000 awards to over 9,000 schools.
