The Homicide Squad has identified the victim of a Homicide that occurred on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 1:03 a.m. in Hempstead.
According to Detectives, Officers responded to Yale Street for reports of a male shot. Upon arrival, Officers encountered Maurice Sinclair Thomas of Hempstead, 39, in a vehicle with a gun shot wound. The male was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced by a staff physician.
The investigation is ongoing.
