Abrahams (D – Freeport) and the Long Island Housing Partnership, State of New York Mortgage Agency, Bethpage Federal Credit Union, Nassau County Bar Association, Community Housing Innovations and Community Development Corporation of Long Island to host a first-time homebuyer and housing seminar at the Freeport Public Library on Thursday, Sept. 20.

During a presentation to more than 50 residents, representatives from the Long Island Partnership provided information related to down payment assistance programs, default and foreclosure prevention counseling and emergency mortgage assistance programs.

“Each of these housing agencies provide important resources and assistance to those looking to buy their first home,”Legislator Mulé said. “It is my hope that this seminar connected residents with important programs and information that can help them achieve their dream of home ownership.”
