Roosevelt Man Charged with Knifepoint Attack on Female Victim that Left Lacerations on Her Arm, Face

The Fourth Squad reports the arrest of a Roosevelt man for an Assault that occurred on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 4:05 p.m. in Inwood.
 
According to detectives, police responded to a 911 call for a disturbance in front of a Mott Avenue residence. Upon arrival, officers observed a female victim, 42, on the ground with a laceration to her arm and face. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and is listed in stable condition.
 
After a thorough investigation, detectives determined that a male subject, Ivan Cullins, 56, of 68 E Fulton Avenue, was involved in an earlier disturbance that escalated into stabbing and slashing the victim with a knife. 
 
Officers located him a short time later and placed him into custody without incident.
 
Defendant Ivan Cullins is charged with Attempted Murder 2nd Degree, Assault 2nd Degree, Menacing 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree. He will be arraigned on Friday, September 27, 2024 at First District Court, located at 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
