Woman Seriously Injured in Single Car Crash on Landing Ave. in Smithtown

Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are investigating a single-car crash that seriously injured a woman in Smithtown early this morning.

Smithtown, NY - October 2nd, 2014 - Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are investigating a single-car crash that seriously injured a woman in Smithtown early this morning.

Cynthia Prag was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Malibu northbound on Landing Avenue, near Cakewalk Terrace, when her vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree at approximately 2:25 a.m.

Prag, 22, of Smithtown, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information on this incident to contact the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452.
